Downtown Development Director

Terry Sweeney joined the staff in May 2024 as the Downtown Development Director for Main Street Warsaw. Sweeney has more than 30 years of downtown management and economic development experience. He started his downtown management and development career working 15 years for Indianapolis Downtown, Inc. as Vice President of Real Estate Development. He played a key role in the highly successful revitalization of downtown Indianapolis, where he was involved with more than 400 downtown projects worth $8.5+ billion. Sweeney went on to become Executive Director of the Corpus Christi Downtown Management District and President and CEO of Downtown Lexington Partnership leading revitalization, strategic planning, development, management, branding and marketing initiatives in those communities. Sweeney moved back to Northeastern Indiana to be closer to family and has been working as Project Director for Kosciusko Economic Development Corporation (KEDCO) since August 2022.
